Safety Alarms

Securing supply for our customer

Cameron-Price was approached by an undisclosed UK safety company to produce the housing for fire safety alarms, including lights and sirens. The company required a skilled, experienced plastic moulding firm after their previous supplier went into administration.

The client needed an annual quantity of 100,000 products so required a supplier who could meet this demand. Our cutting-edge facility in Stirchley, Birmingham meant we were more than equipped to take on a task of this size.

The project began with Cameron-Price being asked to step in and take receipt of a package of tooling after the previous supplier closed down. We supported with collection of tooling and had a team of engineers waiting to work on the tool immediately. Tools were adapted where required to suit our equipment quickly and efficiently. Process optimisation is a vital part of what we do, and this allowed us to ensure efficient production bespoke to the client’s needs.

To prevent customer supply from being disrupted, a fast turnaround was necessary. With support from all departments we were able to achieve this.

First parts were approved within 36 hours of tool collection and full quality sign off was received within 2 weeks.

The final product had a first-class cosmetic finish achieved with polished tool faces. The client’s supply was uninterrupted and they were able to continue producing top-quality safety alarms for their customers.

Post-project, Cameron-Price was employed by the same company to develop and manufacture a range of impellers and pump housings. This is testament to our dedication to forming long-lasting relationships with our clients, which benefit all involved.
