What is prototyping?

Prototyping is one of the earliest stages of a product run, it involves manufacturing an early draft of a product to test for a host of different factors, it allows both the manufacturer and customer to test if the material is the correct fit for the product, and to check that something resembling the final product goes through the manufacturing process without any issues.

Assembly times can alter the final price of a project, prototyping allows for a more accurate quote to be produced where assembly is either quicker or more complicated than initially intended. 

Keeps project on budget and on time

Quotes for projects are given based on the expected time required and the amount of material used to produce the full run too. Quotes are always accurate at the time provided, but if faults are found during the product run or through assembly further down the line, unexpected costs may be incurred. 

Prototyping is always a worthwhile investment with this in mind, whilst there may be a small potential for delays initially if a product has to undergo some design adjustments, it allows for testing to be done in a risk-free and typically inexpensive way, ensuring the final design is exactly as expected.
